The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the integrity of Chupi’s financial records and supporting the business in scaling sustainably. You will bring strong technical knowledge, exceptional accuracy, and the ability to manage complex reconciliations while working closely with our senior management team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations across multiple entities.
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll postings, and expense management.
Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow reporting in conjunction with the Head of Finance.
Oversee VAT, payroll taxes, and statutory compliance, ensuring deadlines are met.
Partner with the Head of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and year-end preparation.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
Support process improvements and implement best practices in financial controls.
Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support decision-making across the business.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping
Recognised bookkeeping or accounting qualification (e.g. IATI, ACCA part-qualified, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of Irish accounting practices, VAT, and payroll processes.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred) and Excel/Google Sheets.
Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
Excellent communication skills, able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for sustainability, craftsmanship, and contributing to a values-driven business.
Familiarity with Xero & Sage is a bonus.
Likewise familiarity with Shopify, Google Business & Cin7/ Dear.
Previous experience in a product manufacturing & retail based environment would be beneficial.
